What’s the position?

The Senior Director – Sports book Commercial Manager is responsible for steering the commercial NGR performance of the sports book business.

This role drives the sports book commercial strategy and works with the core marketing, sports and operational teams, tracking player acquisition, new real money player payback periods, retention performance, promotional effectiveness, individual sports actives and engagement, customer value optimization, and cross-functional execution. The role acts as the primary commercial stakeholder connecting Trading, CRM, Product, VIP, Acquisition, Integrated Marketing, Omni, Analytics and Operations.

Key Responsibilities Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
  • Drives the sports book commercial performance against NRMPs, actives and GGR/NGR targets
  • Co‑develop the sports book growth strategies by market, customer segment, and sporting calendar
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer conversion, lifetime value, retention, and overall wallet share
  • Connect the core sports book teams to drive NGR through optimization of promotional investment and customer engagement – across CRM, VIP, Omni, Product & Trading
  • Work closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis, Marketing and Sports teams on forecasting, budgeting, commercial planning and reporting
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the commercial revenue lead across Trading, Marketing, VIP, Omni, and Operations
  • Translate business priorities, insights and trends into execution plans across teams
  • Partner with the Trading Analyst team to identify strengths and weaknesses across the sports vertical – understanding the nuances of state‑by‑state performance and trends
Customer & KPI Insights
  • Analyze betting behavior, engagement trends, and customer segmentation
  • Monitor competitor positioning, pricing, promotions, and product innovation
  • Identify emerging commercial opportunities and risks
  • Drive insight‑led decision‑making using analytics, data science and experimentation frameworks
Performance Management
  • Lead weekly, bi‑weekly and monthly commercial revenue performance reviews
  • Establish clear commercial success metrics across initiatives & teams, ensuring the business is all pulling in the same direction
Leadership
  • Build and lead a high‑performing sports book revenue function
  • Develop strong operational cadence and accountability
  • Foster a culture of data‑driven decision making and continuous optimization

What are we looking for?
  • 5+ years’ experience in sports book, betting, gaming, or digital consumer businesses
  • Strong understanding of sports book economics, player behavior, and promotional mechanics
  • Experience working closely with Trading, CRM, Product, and VIP teams
  • Proven leadership experience within a fast‑paced online betting environment
  • Strong analytical and commercial decision‑making capability
  • Deep understanding of sports book KPIs and performance drivers
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
