Job SummaryJoin the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin‑Madison School of Medicine and Public Health as an Event Coordinator to support a wide range of events that support a world‑class academic and healthcare mission. You will lead the planning and coordination of events, bringing people together in meaningful and engaging ways.
The Department of Radiology is dedicated to improving human health through innovation in clinical care, imaging research, and education. As part of our team, you will contribute to an organization that values collaboration, excellence, and service while helping to showcase the groundbreaking work and achievements of our faculty, staff, and trainees.
Additional Information- This position may require in‑person work on campus and some remote work off‑campus. Candidates must be available to support evening and weekend events as needed.
- The work schedule is flexible and will be determined at the time of hire.
- This position requires heavy lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively, maintain professional relationships, and perform effectively under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
- Assist with planning and the creation of promotional materials and resources for events.
- Greet customers/guests, assist with registration, answer questions, and refer complex issues to appropriate entities.
- Monitor and process event‑related transactions and record event data.
- Schedule logistics and secure resources for all aspects of events, including space, vendors, and staff, and coordinate details to resolve operational issues.
- Communicate with customers to determine event details and requirements, evaluate requests, recommend service plans and pricing, and provide status updates.
The starting salary for the position is $24.80/hour; this is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications- At least 1 year of professional experience in event planning.
- Experience providing customer service, administrative support, or similar.
- Experience scheduling and organizing complex event logistics with attention to detail.
- Experience with digital communications, event registration, and survey creation.
Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
