This position plays a critical role in bringing Blizzard’s iconic franchises to life through linear media, translating creative vision into high-fidelity cinematic experiences.
Operating within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, the Cinematic Producer will manage the execution of assigned cinematic content from pre-production through final delivery. The successful candidate will leverage deep expertise in 2D and 3D animation pipelines to guide digital artists, coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams, and partner with external vendors. This mandate requires an exceptional balance of logistical precision and creative problem-solving to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to Blizzard Entertainment’s exact standards of excellence.

Comprehensive Responsibilities as Cinematic Producer- Schedule & Track Deliverables: Create, manage, and optimize comprehensive project schedules. Accurately track tasks, milestones, and deadlines across the production lifecycle.
- Daily Workflow Coordination: Facilitate the daily flow of project communication. Organize production dailies, capture and distribute meticulous notes, and actively participate as a member of show leadership.
- Resource Management: Proactively ensure that digital artists and core team members possess the necessary assets, pipeline tools, and resources required to complete their assignments efficiently.
- Facilitate Creative Discourse: Organize and lead meetings that bridge communications between Blizzard Animation, Game Development teams, and various auxiliary support groups.
- Downstream Synchronization: Partner with external departments to determine scope, alignment, and execution strategies for localization, sound design, post-production, and marketing requirements.
- Reporting & Transparency: Establish clear department goals and project deliverables. Formulate weekly/monthly status reports and milestone check-ins to communicate progress transparently to upper management, game development leads, and stakeholders.
- Outsourcing Oversight: Coordinate with external vendor partners to manage external production schedules, ensure strict quality control, and enforce deliverable alignment with Blizzard’s standards.
- Team Advocacy: Maintain high crew and studio morale, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and efficient environment for creative talent.
- Roadblock Mitigation: Anticipate, identify, and mitigate potential production bottlenecks or creative friction points before they impact the schedule.
- Industry Longevity: 5+ years of professional linear media production experience encompassing animation, gaming, or visual effects (VFX) environments.
- Leadership Track Record: A minimum of 3 years of direct experience operating as a Producer within a professional animation, VFX, or gaming studio, alongside a proven history of guiding creative teams.
- Technical Pipeline Knowledge: Deep operational understanding of modern 2D and 3D animation production pipelines and asset workflows.
- Communication Mastery: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a professional capacity to deliver and filter constructive critique.
- Problem-Solving & Foresight: Proven ability to foresee production risks, develop contingency plans, and independently or collaboratively facilitate resolution frameworks.
