HYBE America is part of HYBE, a global leader at the intersection of music, entertainment, and technology. We represent some of the world’s most influential artists and continue to expand our creative and cultural impact across the Americas. At HYBE, we believe in the power of music and foster a culture built on Passion, Autonomy, and Trust.
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and driven Manager of Artist Operations to oversee and manage key projects for a global music group. In this role, you will work closely with the artist, label, partners, and creative teams to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major activities such as promotional trips, tours, and other high-impact initiatives. At the heart of this role is the day-to-day care and well-being of the artists.
You serve as the vital bridge between senior management’s vision and on-the-ground reality - translating master plans into actionable, minute-by-minute itineraries while ensuring the members are supported, protected, and able to perform at their best. This role requires the ability to manage on-site dynamics through effective communication with artists and partners, exceptional project management skills, and the leadership to run a dedicated artist management team.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Santa Monica office, with in-person collaboration 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the greater Los Angeles area at their own expense prior to their start date - we are not offering relocation assistance for this role, though it may be considered on a case-by-case basis for select candidates.
Key Responsibilities On-Site Management- Lead on-the-ground operations during artist activities, ensuring smooth execution by managing incidents and resolving challenges in real time.
- Translate tour, performance, and creative plans into detailed, minute-by-minute movement schedules and itineraries for the artists.
- Advance-scout venues, hotels, and public spaces to identify ideal ingress/egress routes that avoid crowds and security bottlenecks, keeping the artists safe and on schedule.
- Proactively map out and secure essential facilities and amenities (dressing rooms, quiet zones, rest areas, restrooms) so they are equipped and accessible to the artists at a moment’s notice.
- Maintain a live status-tracking system (via Slack, Whats App, or specialized apps) for all members to prevent delays and ensure full accountability.
- Design and manage the support team’s shift rotations to ensure round-the-clock coverage of the artists across both group activities and individual split-schedules, while safeguarding crew health and preventing burnout.
- Act as the on-site 'fixer': when plans are disrupted by weather, technical issues, or crowd surges, implement creative, real-time solutions that keep activities on track without escalating stress to the artists.
- Communicate effectively with artists, partners, and teams to adapt plans as needed in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
- Ensure alignment across the artist and all stakeholders during field operations.
- Monitor the physical and mental well-being of the artists throughout demanding schedules, acting as their advocate and ensuring their needs are met.
- Anticipate the artists’ day-to-day needs on-site and create an environment where they can rest, recharge, and stay focused between activities.
- Shield the artists from operational friction—absorbing logistical challenges and last-minute changes behind the scenes so the members can concentrate on their performance.
- Read the room and manage the on-site atmosphere, de-escalating tension and mediating minor interpersonal issues to maintain a positive, professional, high-energy environment for the artists and crew.
- Serve as a trusted, discreet presence for the artists, providing tailored support and building relationships grounded in reliability and care.
- Manage budgets and ensure accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting of expenditures.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and efficiency.
