PositionPurpose
TAIT Crew members travel the world to set up, operate, and tear down the concert touring productions that TAIT is famous for. As customer‑facing technical representatives, we embrace every challenge that touring presents, ensuring seamless execution to create moments that move people—night after night. There are many skills on the team, but primarily we focus on entertainment automation, performer‑flying rigging, and touring carpentry.
EssentialResponsibilities & Accountabilities
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Setting up and tearing down automation and/or staging gear
- Perform show track duties as assigned, which may include but not limited to calling clears, moving scenery/props, spotting automation equipment, and ensuring artist safety backstage
- Lead local labor
- Demonstrate a team-first attitude and contribute to a positive touring culture
- Maintain a professional demeanor while representing TAIT on and off the job site
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required
- Perform assigned duties according to the policies and expectations prescribed by the company
- Lead an advanced rigging team
- Design a rescue plan
- Lead an aerial rescue scenario
- Create and lead a training plan for artists and performers who will be performing at height
- Work with high level main talent
- Operate and program a complex 3d/performer flying show
- Set up show control interfaces
- Configure a basic 3D space device
- Program a show for multiple consoles
- Create complex cue line and show control logic experience
- Build advanced panel forms
- Leads a large sized tour (25+ axes with 5+ crew)
- Act as the primary liaison with the production team and other departments on behalf of the automation team
- Oversee all load‑ins, show operations, and load‑outs
- Monitor crew performance, providing coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution as needed
- Communicate production updates, changes, and issues promptly to the TAIT home office and TAIT Crew leadership teams
- Manage and track touring equipment inventory, ensuring proper storage, maintenance, and transport

Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of technical entertainment experience
- 5+ years of touring experience for operator or crew chief candidates, 5+ years of touring experience for high performance rigging candidates, 10+ years of touring experience for technician candidates
- SPRAT/IRATA required for high performance rigging candidates
- Must have a US passport and a clean record to be able to travel internationally for work
- Valid driver’s license
