Fixed Income Sales Assistant

• Support fixed income sales staff and customers to ensure smooth settlement of investment transactions
• Provide phone backup, execute trades through the internal trading desk, support account services, and coordinate security settlement
• Perform detail-oriented support for sales staff, traders, and customers
• Manage daily issues involving trade activity, market conditions, and customer care
• Develop relationships with trading and operations departments to support execution and delivery of securities
• Identify and implement protocols for successful trade execution
• Streamline processes supporting the sales force
• Provide fast, professional, and accurate information to sales and trading teams
• Research and resolve problems and take corrective action
• Develop and maintain professional customer relationships
• Back up sales staff when unavailable or out of the office
• Perform general office duties, including answering phones, sending faxes/scans, making copies, and managing office machines
• Provide leadership through example and knowledge sharing
• Maintain compliance with MSRB, FINRA, and SEC regulations
• Order office supplies and monitor postage, UPS supplies, mail, and overnight packages
• Manage Shred-It boxes and office machines
• Maintain the general office and serve as the primary internal and external contact

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Equivalent work experience in related field preferred
• SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 exams required, or successful completion within 90 days of hire
• Strong communication skills, including excellent writing and speaking skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), general office machines, and other departmental software
• Ability to learn new software programs
• Good knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation
• Basic English language skills
• Strong organization, accuracy, attention to detail, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work under pressure and exercise sound judgment
• Ability to research and resolve trade and client service issues with minimal supervision
• Experience with MBS/DUS bonds strongly preferred
• Additional finance computer experience such as Bloomberg beneficial
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to consistently meet service level standards and goals
• Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously
• Must comply with MSRB, FINRA, and SEC regulations, policies, procedures, code of conduct, and regulatory guidelines
• Must be able to work in a secure home office with reliable private internet for telecommuting
• Travel may be required for meetings, conferences, and training

Demonstrates expertise in trade execution, customer service, and compliance with MSRB, FINRA, and SEC regulations. Proficient in managing trade-related issues and maintaining professional relationships with clients and internal teams.
