Senior Game Designer - Systems & Economy - Fully Remote

At SOFTGAMES, we build games played by millions of players worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Game Designer (Systems & Economy) to help evolve our leading games. You will own the long-term evolution of one or two existing games with a loyal player base, balancing player satisfaction, engagement, and commercial performance.

In this role, you will own the design and optimization of progression, economy, events, and monetization systems. Your mission is to continuously evolve these games by creating compelling short-, mid-, and long-term goals that keep players engaged for months and years while maximizing player satisfaction and business performance.

This is a remote position.

• Design, balance, and optimize the game’s economy, progression, and reward systems.

• Create engaging player motivation loops across events, features, and monetization.

• Develop and maintain a cohesive ecosystem of Live Ops events, ensuring they work together rather than compete for player attention.

• Design systems that improve retention, engagement, and monetization while preserving a great player experience.

• Build and maintain economy models, balancing spreadsheets, and simulations.

• Use data to identify player friction points, progression bottlenecks, and monetization opportunities.

• Collaborate closely with Product, BI, UA, Art, and Development teams to improve game performance.

• Analyze KPIs such as Retention, ARPDAU, Conversion, LTV, and Engagement to guide design decisions.

• Drive feature and event improvements through continuous testing, iteration, and experimentation.

• Clearly communicate design rationale, trade-offs, and recommendations across the team.

• 5+ years of experience designing and operating successful F2P mobile games.

• Strong experience in systems design, economy design, progression design, and Live Ops.

• Proven track record working on casual or puzzle games.

• Deep understanding of player motivation, retention mechanics, and monetization design.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to design and evaluate A/B tests and translate data into actionable improvements.

• Comfortable making decisions based on KPIs and player behavior.

• Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities without waiting for direction.

• Ability to quickly understand new games, systems, and player audiences and take ownership when moving between projects.

• Advanced spreadsheet skills and experience building balancing, simulation, and forecasting models.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

• Passion for creating engaging and sustainable player experiences.

• Proficient in using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, and decision making.
