The Derivative Accountant role at GTreasury is a unique, fully remote part-time opportunity. You will work a focused amount of time during the month-end close preparing and reviewing hedge accounting entries for our clients. In addition, you will attend monthly team meetings and help with ad-hoc projects throughout the month. We will teach you hedge accounting and other requirements of the job through formal classes, one-one training as well as on-the-job learning.

This position usually involves some nights and weekends, depending on client and team needs. You bring your strong accounting/finance background and we will teach you hedge accounting to support our managed services clients.

• Prepare and review timely and accurate month-end journal entries for our clients – some on tight deadlines
• Assist clients with questions about journal entries
• Prepare and review derivative financial statement disclosures for our clients
• Prepare hedge documentation in a timely manner (current industry practice is to prepare all documentation within two business days of trade date)

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related function, plus 7-10 years in a finance, accounting or treasury role (CPA or CTP preferred)
• Accountable with a sense of ownership
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex information in written form
• Experience doing work in Excel
• Critical thinker, creative problem solver with the ability to leverage knowledge learned from similar situations
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with tight deadlines
• Ability to work remotely in an extremely flexible environment with people in different time zones working different hours
• Ability to work a very flexible schedule (different hours week-to-week)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or business related function, or equivalent professional experience.
• CPA or CTP Certification preferred.

• Compensation:
  The expected hourly rate for this part-time position is $75/hr.
