The Role

The Payments Consultant is responsible for building effective ongoing relationships and ensuring that each client receives the optimal experience and payments performance outcomes, leveraging our expertise and our proprietary analytics platform. While Atlanta candidates are preferred, we are open to all U.S. locations for remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert with clients, advising them on all things payments.
  • Engage client stakeholders with the Optimized Payments analytics platform, driving reporting platform sufficiency.
  • Build long‑term relationships to optimize value they receive from the payments analytics platform.
  • Advocate for clients within the payments ecosystem, working with key players and vendors to optimize recurring payment processing for merchants.
  • Monitor payment transactions and engage when there are failures, alerts, chargebacks, or other processing issues.
  • Use payments data to analyze processes that help or hinder payment success.
  • Stay knowledgeable of current trends impacting overall payment effectiveness, and communicate these to customers with proactive solutions.
  • Able to travel as needed; other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of experience with RFP management and global payments preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with payment service providers such as Adyen, Chase, Stripe.
  • Experience with recurring billing system providers such as Vindicia, Recurly, Zuora, Stripe.
  • Knowledge of credit card scheme regulations, disputes, and chargeback processes.
  • Knowledge of global processing, including cross‑border and local payment methods.
  • Deep understanding of how these systems interconnect and impact credit card payment success.
  • Knowledgeable in payment operations, comfortable speaking with CFOs on payment, reconciliation, fraud, risk, time frames, cost, etc.
  • Knowledge of global and regional payment rails.
  • Articulate and concise communication style.
  • Attention to detail and sense of urgency.
