Joining H&R Block as a Remote Tax Professional means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs and have the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing advanced tax training you’ll need to be successful.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients and support do-it-yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email).
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Collaborate with leaders and peers to communicate how remote work is impacting results; coordinate effectively as part of a team.
• Grow tax expertise and stay current with tax guidance and client needs.

• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Access to high-speed, reliable internet.
• Experience with technology (specifically MS Teams and Outlook).
• Ability to communicate complex tax situations clearly via phone, email, and chat to inspire client confidence.
• Experience utilizing effective customer service techniques.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2 or equivalent.
• High school diploma or higher.
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season.
• Skill in researching information using various tax and publication tools (e.g., IRS Publications/Instructions).

The base pay range listed in the post is $11.00/hr - $80.00/hr
. Local minimum wage laws apply. The pay range information is provided to help applicants understand potential compensation and may be influenced by experience, education, skill, performance, and location.
