Vaco is recruiting for a large well known company in Midtown that is seeking an accounting analyst. We are looking for a staff accountant / junior analyst profile with great data skills seeking to pivot to an analytical role OR a financial analyst with an accounting background for this accounting analyst role.
Targeted salary for the role is $80K-$95K (if there were conversion) and our client has a track record of providing full time candidates with successful career opportunities for the successful candidate with abundant growth opportunities.
The schedule is 4 days onsite for the first several months with the opportunity to move to hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 remote work-from-home days) after this initial training period.

• Financial modeling to calculate monthly revenue reported
• Review and record (journal entries) spend on projects and determine expected forecast spend versus budget.
• Assist Controller and CFO with Forecasts and Variance Analyses as well as budgeting.
• Ad-hoc Management reporting including pulling data from client's systems, formatting, calculating and presenting information to the leadership team
• Revenue journal entries and related accrual calculations
• Use Microsoft Excel to reconcile, update and analyze data, then monitor and follow up.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related is required.
• 1+ year of relevant experience as an accountant or analyst (with an accounting background) in a complex corporate setting.
• Must have strong analytical skills including advanced level Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
