Position SummaryThe Organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support multiple affiliated entities across its philanthropic, investment, and operating organizations. This role supports financial reporting and accounting activities, builds dashboards and reporting tools, and maintains investment documentation and reporting, including valuation updates and cap-table support.
This position is structured as a hybrid role
, requiring a mix of remote work and in-office presence at designated times.
- Process accounting activities including invoice payments, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain investment files (e.g., deal memos, wire instructions, SAFEs/notes, LP notices), update portfolio trackers, and monitor capital calls and distributions.
- Support valuation updates, cap-table reconciliations, and quarterly portfolio reporting.
- Prepare monthly financial reports; standardize templates and automate recurring reports where possible.
- Build and refresh dashboards for internal financial and portfolio metrics, investment performance and goals, portfolio calendar tracking, and impact reporting.
- Provide financial analysis on results and support annual budget and forecast processes.
- Complete other financial preparation and reporting as requested.
- 2+ years of experience in financial reporting and accounting (ideally in similarly sized organizations).
- Strong familiarity with investment reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Experience supporting budgets and forecasts.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust-based relationships across stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and common finance tools (e.g., Quick Books, Expensify, ).
- Experience with Power BI or similar dashboarding tools.
- Bachelor’s degree required; CPA and/or MBA (or equivalent relevant experience) preferred.
- Familiarity with life sciences organizations is a plus.
