What you'll be doing

CIBC’s Wood Gundy team is the full-service brokerage division of CIBC, serving our high net worth clientele. As an associate investment advisor, you’ll join our investmentteam in the Wood Gundy brokerage, to build and maintain a portfolio of high net worth clients through various prospecting methods. You’ll offer dedicated relationship management and tailored advice to support your clients as they work toward their financial goals.

Drawing on the unified strengths of the CIBC group of companies, CIBC Wood Gundy provides investments advisors with the ability to present to clients a broad array of products and services. How you'll succeed
  • Client engagement - Focus on each client experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful. Enhance relationships by delivering trusted investment advice and providing comprehensive financial planning support. Proactively establish new client relationships through networking and continue to cultivate existing client relationships by understanding your clients’ financial objectives.

  • Business development - Use your strong relationship building and networking skills to build connections, generate opportunities, and deliver bottom line results. Build and maintain investment plans based on the client’s profile and risk/reward tolerance. Leverage CIBC’s wide range of investment solutions to provide a needs-based approach that will result in satisfied, loyal clients and increased referrals.

  • Relationship building - Display high levels of interpersonal and relationship building skills in order to effectively network, prospect, and build strong and trusting client relationships.

  • Investing - Develop investment plans and written proposals for prospects and clients. Analyze information/trends and apply it to individual client circumstances.

  • Collaborating - Participate in seminars for clients and prospects, in collaboration with team members. Demonstrate well-developed, interactive presentation skills to convey both factual and conceptual ideas to clients.
