As a Senior Commercial Loan Document Specialist, you’ll play a key role in that mission, helping manage the details that drive strong client relationships and seamless financial operations behind the scenes.
POSITION SUMMARY: Prepares loan documents for all loan types. Scans loan documents into the document imaging system. Balances general ledger accounts and reviews loan payments daily. Provides general administrative support to the commercial lenders and other credit department staff. Provides backup to Loan Operations Assistant as needed.
PRIMARYACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generates commercial and consumer loan document packages. Ensures loan files are complete and borrower information is up to date with regards to pending loan requests through conducting an independent file review, using established checklists, and working with portfolio assistants or lenders to resolve any errors or omissions.
- Remits participation payments to correspondent banks, reviews loan payment activity, and balances respective general ledger and other accounts daily. Corresponds with other banks to ensure proper balancing between parties.
- Completes monthly and quarterly reports for the Board of Directors.
- Provides backup to the Loan Operations Assistant with respect to their primary responsibilities including loan booking, maintenance, payment processing, and scanning loan documents into the document imaging system. Also provides backup to Credit Administration Assistant when needed.
- Pulls credit reports, UCC searches, flood certificates, and title work as directed by other bank staff.
- Provides quality customer service including answering basic customer questions and following up as needed. Provides additional support to lenders and Credit Department as requested.

- Minimum of 2‑year college degree.
- A minimum of 5 years loan support experience, with Loan Documentation preparation (including specifically within Laser Pro) experience preferred.
- Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deliver a high level of responsiveness to other staff and customers.
- Ability to work independently, multi‑task and organize priorities.
- Medium level of computer literacy (Jack Henry, Laser Pro, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Maintains confidentiality, high level of focus and accuracy.
- Accuracy of loan documentation generation to what has been requested, including adherence to required bank and regulatory standards.
- Successfully managing all responsibilities while producing high quality work with strong attention to detail.
- Meeting required turnaround time frames for requested documentation.
- Normal office environment.
- After 90 days of employment, up to 6 days per month of remote work allowed, depending on experience and performance.
