- Assist the Workers Compensation Line of Business Pricing Team across scheduled, business‑as‑usual, and ad‑hoc projects.
- Deliver pricing analysis support including development of rates, rating plans, and portfolio management strategies.
- Conduct analyses on key pricing parameters such as trend analysis, loss development factors, and expense assumptions.
- Collaborate across actuarial, statistical, and IT functions to support current and future pricing tools across multiple platforms.
- Obtain in‑depth knowledge of pricing tools and monitoring, including working knowledge of underlying predictive models.
- Where appropriate, provide support for “Virtuous Circle” meetings and rate filing activities.
- Maintain excellent communication and collaboration within and between teams.
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate's Degree OR Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of actuarial experience with FCAS or equivalent international certification OR 13+ years of actuarial experience with ACAS or equivalent international certification.
- Experience in multiple functional areas including pricing, reserving, and capital management.
- Prior commercial lines pricing experience with an emphasis on Workers’ Compensation.
- Proficiency in pricing studies: rate indications, trend studies, parameter analysis.
- Proficiency with pricing tools, including development, deployment, and post‑implementation monitoring.
- Familiarity with computer science, statistics or mathematics and experience transforming data for business analysis and providing inputs to IT.
- Familiarity with statistical and predictive modeling techniques.
- Experience with Databricks, Python, R, and/or SQL.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to share technical results and recommendations to audiences of varying analytic understanding.
- Experience collaborating on cross‑functional team projects and mentoring colleagues or peers.
- Experience with time management across multiple work streams.
Salary range: $149,500 – $244,900 (annual). Short‑term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
