The individual in this role takes ownership of issues and proactively works to provide positive member experiences, educate, and support employees, improve processes, and ensure accuracy based on policies and regulations.#

* SCHEDULE:

** Monday-Saturday Flex Schedule An effective Senior Deposit Operations Specialist must be able to perform each job duty successfully.
* Proactively take ownership of issues and work closely with front-line employees and members to through resolution, delivering a high-quality member experience.
* Research and resolve complex deposit issues, including questions regarding IRA’s, Trusts, special accounts, Power of Attorney, notary, Medallion Guarantor, Chex systems, deceased member accounts, tax corrections and other related needs.
* Review and interpret trusts, court ordered documents, and other legal documents to ensure accurate membership eligibility and account ownership.
* Perform timely and accurate processing of deceased member accounts, including but not limited to: thorough account review, account coding, records research, blocking cards, updating member memos, updating account access, and other tasks as necessary. Proactively follow-up with representatives of the deceased member as needed.
* Regularly audit and review trust, POA, IRA and other documentation to verify accuracy and adherence to regulations and organizational policies.
* Evaluate existing processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improvement of member and employee interactions with the Deposit Operations team, products and services.
* Work with leadership to establish, update, and maintain policies, procedures, and other documentation essential to deposit operations and the credit union.
* Be accountable to goals and performance standards established by the organization and management.
* Other duties as assigned.

* * Five years of financial industry or related experience.

** Computer/Office Equipment Skills
*** Intermediate level skill for Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Experience working with Teams, Web Ex, Zoom, etc.
* Experience with core banking systems (Symitar) preferred.

** Must have the ability to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in written and oral form.

*** Advanced professional communication skills (professional phone etiquette, clearly articulate information to others, quality interaction both in person and over the phone).
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of credit union policy and procedures and deposit products regulation.
* Understanding of IRS and guidelines as it pertains to Deposit Operations products.
* Understanding of the banking and NCUA regulations, as they pertain to Deposit Operations products.
* Meet productivity and service standard measurements in a work-from-home environment.
* Highly skilled at training and coaching others on products and services of the credit union.
