We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Chargeback Specialist to join our team in Seattle, WA. This role is focused on managing chargebacks and deductions related to Walmart, so prior experience working with Walmart’s compliance and deduction systems is required.
As a key member of our finance team, you will investigate, resolve, and prevent chargebacks while collaborating with sales, logistics, and operations. This position offers a stable, full-time opportunity with one remote work day per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, validate, and resolve chargebacks and deductions, with a focus on Walmart accounts
- Monitor Walmart Retail Link and vendor portals for deduction activity
- Reconcile and manage AR aging reports related to chargebacks and short-pays
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to gather documentation for disputes
- Submit dispute claims through Walmart’s portal in a timely and accurate manner
- Identify chargeback trends and help implement process improvements to reduce future issues
- Maintain detailed documentation and logs of all chargeback resolutions
- Prepare monthly reports on chargeback activity, recovery, and root cause analysis
- Assist with month-end close processes related to AR and chargebacks
- Support audits and ensure compliance with both internal and customer-specific policies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Chargeback/Deduction Management
- Direct experience with Walmart chargebacks and Retail Link (required)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Understanding of EDI and vendor compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in retail, consumer goods, or logistics is a plus
