Responsibilities
  • Prepare and coordinate analyses for insurance rating, including individual account pricing and portfolio-level analyses
  • Conduct actuarially sound statistical analysis by selecting appropriate data sources and making assumptions to develop pricing recommendations
  • Document assumptions, methods, and sources in an organized manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actuarial support and participate in peer reviews
  • Provide analytical support to other functions on an ad hoc basis
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related area with 5 years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis, or a Graduate degree with 3 years of experience
  • Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, or Radar
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in actuarial analysis on Commercial Auto lines insurance
  • Proven oral and written communication skills, including the ability to give formal presentations
  • In-depth actuarial industry knowledge and knowledge of the insurance marketplace
  • Expert-level problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Active participation in company culture initiatives, such as employee resource groups or volunteering
