Responsibilities- Perform moderately complex actuarial work for rate making, reserving, and modeling
- Collaborate with team members to ensure rate and reserve levels are appropriate and actuarially sound
- Conduct market research and analyze trends for potential impacts and opportunities
- Develop and maintain dynamic Excel templates and data solutions for various business lines
- Lead small to moderately sized special projects and participate in larger initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, or statistics
- Two years of actuarial experience; relevant internship experience will be considered
- Completion of VEEs and at least two actuarial exams
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and financial mathematics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
- Knowledge of at least one programming language, such as SQL
- Experience in Pricing or Reserving in at least two lines of business
- Ability to effectively lead a team
- Familiarity with P&C organization structure, including claims and underwriting processes
- Strong analytical, investigation, and problem-solving abilities
