Tax Manager – U.S. Sales & Use Tax | Remote

Overview

Our client is seeking Tax Manager to lead U.S. sales and use tax compliance for a specialized business line while partnering closely with the corporate tax team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a remote environment, enjoys improving processes, and wants exposure to both corporate and business‑unit‑specific tax operations.

• Support audits and respond to tax-related inquiries.
• Assist with scaling tax operations as the business grows.
• Manage U.S. sales & use tax compliance, filings, and reporting.
• Improve, document, and streamline tax processes and procedures.
• Manage tax-related projects, deadlines, and cross-functional communication.
• Serve as the primary tax contact for the Mortgage Finance/Smart Solutions business.
• Collaborate with the broader corporate tax team to ensure alignment and compliance.

• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Experience in large, complex, or multi-entity organizations.
• Familiarity with tax process improvement or documentation.
• Strong, hands-on experience with U.S. sales & use tax required.
