• Lead monthly close process through reporting and analytics of operating expenses and loss adjustment expenses
• Partner with leadership on quarterly forecasting and 3-year planning processes to build financial plans and forecasts
• Conduct complex analysis of initiatives and business outcomes to reduce expenses and indemnity costs
• Own staffing model for the Claims department and lead discussions on staffing decisions
• Actively participate in FP&A transformation initiatives to improve insights and efficiency

• Minimum of 6 years of financial planning experience, preferably within an insurance company
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understanding of claims processes and costs, and their relation to financial analytics and forecasting
• Demonstrated understanding of operational expense reporting and budgeting
• Ability to partner with senior leaders to influence strategic decision-making

• Experience with planning and reporting software, preferably Oracle cloud-based planning and Smartview
• Proven ability to explain financial results through visuals for board-level reporting
• Experience in mentoring or supporting employee resource groups
