What you’ll do

If you join as a financial advisor, you’ll partner with clients to help them achieve long-term financial goals such as retirement, wealth building, estate strategies, funding education, and more. You’ll develop and grow your own practice, supported by your branch team, a home-office team, and other regional financial advisors. You’ll benefit from Edward Jones’s long history and scale, serving millions of clients.

We’ll provide support every step of the way, including:

  • Paid training to get registered and licensed and learn how to be a financial advisor with the industry’s top training program.
  • Salaried income for the first five years as you build your practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships to create new clients via face-to-face and virtual sourcing (residential, business, networking, introductions and referrals, social media, and speaking engagements).
  • Understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized strategies.
  • Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high-quality client experience aligned with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase effectiveness and results.
  • Foster a highly engaging branch environment built on mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability.
Qualifications and Licensing

We look for candidates with at least one of the following requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience in securities/financial services
  • Financial services and/or sales experience
  • Financial services registration, licensing, or certification
  • Professional and/or military career progression

Licensing:

  • SIE (can be obtained without Firm sponsorship);
    Series 7 and Series 66 required (registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during the paid study period if not currently registered).
  • FINRA registrations required within three months; state insurance licenses required.
  • As an associate, complete ongoing firm and regulatory training (FINRA/SEC) and required CE to keep licenses in good standing.
