We are seeking an Associate to join the COO team with L&F, a team that integrates Securities Lending, Securities Financing, and Cash Management, delivering liquidity, lending, and financing solutions for clients globally. The team is committed to operational excellence, innovation, and strong governance, leveraging advanced technology and data-driven strategies to support persistent, long-term investment performance. Collaboration across regions and functions is central to our success, with a strong emphasis on talent development.
As an Associate based in Philadelphia, you will have responsibilities spanning both the Business Management and Investment Platform & Transformation teams.
This role offers exposure to platform transformation projects, and responsibilities which ensure that L&F operates at its full potential by strategically growing talent, efficiently overseeing risks, leading our budget, and ensuring strong governance. In this role, you will partner with leadership, L&F teams including Portfolio Managers and traders, in addition to cross-functional teams which will include Finance, Compliance, Operations, Technology.

Proficient in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in coding, data analysis, and automation. Comfortable working with large datasets and building tools to improve business processes.

A people person who can talk to anyone - and listen; you have highly developed negotiation and influencing skills; you can play the diplomat, but be conclusive, too; you understand the impact of a highly satisfied, excited team; and you are slightly obsessive-compulsive about grinding away at issues.
* Diligent and Accountable:
Show strong attention to detail, personal ownership, and accountability for self and team outcomes. Willing to assist wherever needed, including support tasks.
* Innovative:
Curious, innovative, meticulous, very creative and constantly looking for ways to tweak and optimize processes
What You Will Need
* 3 years' professional experience in financial services or a related field
* Self-starter with high energy, motivation, commitment to excellence and positive approach to business challenges
* Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and process automation
* Intellectual curiosity in financial markets and an appetite for consistent learning.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Relationship Management:
Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships
* Critical thinker with strong analytical skills and ability to understand and translate complex issues
* Demonstrated experience in Financial Planning & Analysis is preferable
* Prior project management experience is preferred
For Philadelphia, PA Only the salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00 - USD$ . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. Black Rock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
