- Serve as the agency’s budget officer, overseeing the full budget lifecycle from development to ongoing monitoring
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the agency’s budget in alignment with agency priorities and statewide requirements
- Deliver advanced fiscal analysis to inform strategic planning and assess financial trends
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for decision-makers
- Maintain organized documentation of all budget decisions and changes to support analysis and institutional continuity
- Six years of progressively responsible experience in budget preparation, analysis, and administration, including modeling and forecasting fiscal information
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field may substitute for three years of experience
- A graduate-level degree in relevant fields may substitute for four of the six years of required experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables and complex formulas for data analysis
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information effectively in formal settings
- Expertise in full life-cycle budgeting, including development, execution, and monitoring
- Experience with state or comparable financial systems, such as ORBITS or R
* STARS/SFMA - Advanced analytical and fiscal modeling skills with a track record of interpreting complex financial data
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to maintain thorough and accurate records
- A collaborative and customer-service-oriented approach to fiscal support
