Cap Shift defines impact-first as investment or grant opportunities that prioritize impact results over the pursuit of risk-adjusted financial returns – which can include program related investments, recoverable grants, catalytic capital and other innovative structures. In this dynamic role, you’ll take a lead role across multiple areas—including impact-first sourcing, monitoring, and due diligence, as well as database management and analytics, thematic research, AI tool development, and investment and grant operations.

Cap Shift is a mission-driven growth company working at the intersection of finance and impact to unlock impact investments at scale into funds and enterprises. We offer a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a culture of personal development, creative freedom, and the partnership of a dedicated team. Our aim is to help mobilize billions of dollars of capital to organizations tackling major social and environmental challenges.
Our research team has a specialized focus on both market-rate and impact first private impact funds, which covers major themes and asset classes such as climate venture capital, affordable housing, education technology, credit to underserved business, and microfinance.

Dive deep into impact and financial performance, risk of grant repayment, strategy shifts, leadership changes, and operational risks, crafting clear quarterly and annual reports that keep our research team and clients informed.
