We are seeking a Financial Crimes Audit and Issue Validation Testing – Senior Associate to join a leading financial services institution with global operations. This project supports audits and issue validations within financial crimes compliance, focusing on trade finance and money laundering risks. The ideal consultant brings strong audit execution skills, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and experience in financial crime risk assessments.

• Support the identification of audit scope areas aligned with the audit’s objectives.
• Review and interpret policies and procedures; create process maps and conduct walkthroughs.
• Map applicable laws, rules, and regulations to relevant processes, procedures, and policies.
• Develop and execute detailed test steps based on extracted procedural requirements.
• Conduct and document walkthroughs; identify, elevate, and communicate issues as needed.
• Upload and maintain work papers in the system of record.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and audit leadership to ensure clear communication.
• Assist with drafting and issuing the final audit report.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of audit, issue validation, or testing experience in financial crimes compliance.
• CAMS or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in trade finance and trade‑based money laundering investigations highly preferred.

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in SQL or similar languages preferred.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of sampling methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $70 – 80 or $145,000 - $166,000 annually.
