Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to serve as a key member of our finance team, partnering closely with the CFO to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and scalable financial operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance, along with a proactive mindset and a passion for excellence. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
- Oversee general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy across all accounts
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns; ensure compliance with all tax regulations
- Support audits (internal and external) by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Assist with internal and external financial audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in financial operations
- Stay up to date with changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Active CPA license required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with exposure to both public accounting and industry
- Demonstrated experience in corporate accounting and financial reporting standards, primary focus on month‑end close, general ledger, and GAAP compliance; tax experience is beneficial but not the primary emphasis of the role
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage Intacct, etc.) and strong expertise in spreadsheet analysis and reporting
Veoci offers remote work flexibility, with this role being required to work on site four days per week with the option to work off site on Fridays. The wage range for this role is $85,000 - $130,000 plus benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
