Fractional Controller; Inventory & Manufacturing Focus – Remote​/Hybrid

Earth Harbor Naturals is a founder-led natural skincare brand with in-house manufacturing and multi-channel distribution (DTC, Amazon, and wholesale).

We are looking for a strong, hands-on Fractional Controller to take ownership of our accounting function and bring clarity, structure, and discipline to our financial operations.

This is not a strategic CFO or fundraising role. It is an operational leadership role focused on clean financials, inventory accuracy, and margin visibility.

This is a fractional role (approximately 15–30 hours per week to start).

The immediate priority is to improve monthly close, ensure balance sheet integrity, and establish reliable SKU-level and channel-level profitability reporting within an inventory-heavy manufacturing environment.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, identifying gaps, and implementing better systems — not just maintaining status quo processes.

This role can be performed remotely. Preference will be given to candidates within commuting distance of our Utah office who can be onsite periodically.

Hands-on exposure to inventory and manufacturing processes is important. The ability to be onsite during onboarding and month-end close, as needed, is a strong advantage.

• Own and improve the monthly close process (target: 10–15 day close)
• Ensure complete balance sheet reconciliation and integrity
• Oversee inventory valuation and cost accounting in a CPG/manufacturing setting
• Improve COGS accuracy (freight, packaging, batch costing, production variances)
• Build and refine SKU-level contribution margin reporting
• Establish channel-level profitability reporting (DTC, Amazon, wholesale)
• Supervise and elevate bookkeeping support
• Deliver a consistent monthly reporting package to the CEO
• Strengthen internal financial controls and documentation
• Coordinate with CPA for tax and compliance matters
• Improve cash reporting cadence and visibility

• 5+ years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
• Direct experience in inventory-based, manufacturing, or CPG businesses
• Strong cost accounting and inventory valuation expertise
• Experience reconciling Amazon and/or Shopify settlements
• Demonstrated ownership of monthly close and financial reporting
• Quick Books Online (or similar ERP) experience
• Proven ability to build actionable SKU profitability reporting
