Advisor Financing LLC works with independent financial advisors and RIAs (Registered Investment Advisors) to structure and place acquisition financing, succession buy-ins, and refinances through a network of bank lenders and private credit. We sit at the intersection of relationship management, underwriting, and deal execution—helping clients navigate entity structures, lender requirements, and timelines to close efficiently.
The RoleWe’re hiring a Credit Analyst to support end-to-end deal execution: collecting and analyzing borrower/practice financials, building cash flow and debt service models, preparing lender-ready credit packages, and helping drive underwriting to closing. This role is ideal for someone who wants real transaction reps and exposure to deal structuring in a fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Do- Underwriting & analysis
- Analyze borrower and practice financials (tax returns, P&Ls, balance sheets, personal financial statements, revenue/assets under management reports)
- Prepare Excel historical and pro forma models for both business and global debt coverage calculations (DSCR/FCCR), primarily for book of business acquisitions and internal ownership changes
- Evaluate key credit drivers: revenue stability, client concentration, retention/transition risk, margins, liquidity, leverage, and contingent liabilities
- Credit packaging
- Prepare lender-ready deliverables: credit memo/summary, sources & uses, cash flow calculations, and supporting exhibits
- Draft clean narrative write-ups explaining the deal, risks, mitigants, and structure (including ownership structure, debt structure, partner buy-ins, LOCs)
- Process & execution
- Coordinate document collection with clients and internal team; track outstanding items and follow up with urgency
- Support lender Q&A during underwriting; organize responses and keep packages current
- Assist with closing logistics: conditions, updated financials, insurance, entity docs, and post-close tracking
- 2–5+ years in credit analysis, commercial banking, underwriting, private credit, or leveraged finance
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Cash flow lending concepts (DSCR, leverage, liquidity, debt schedules)
- Financial statements and U.S. tax returns (personal + business)
- Strong writing and communication (ability to simplify complexity)
- Highly organized; thrives in a pipeline environment with multiple deals at once
- bonus: familiarity with RIA/wealth management economics (AUM/revenue mix, payout grids, transition dynamics, valuation multiples)
- You produce accurate models and memos with minimal revisions
- Lenders receive clean, complete packages that move quickly through underwriting
- Deals don’t stall because of missing items—your follow-up cadence is consistent and professional
- You proactively flag risks and propose structure/mitigants
The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000–$135,000, with eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus. Final compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
