Position Summary

An integral resource who helps company leadership and the finance & accounting department interpret business performance and helps the company achieve strategic and financial objectives through data, analysis, and recommendations. The position assists in the execution of financial planning, forecasting, and analysis along with the preparation of data for insurance, bank, and other compliance needs. This role assists key managers in identifying, implementing and tracking productivity improvement and assists in preparing presentations.

Duties
  • Promotes and demonstrates Wurtec’s core values (dedicated, hardworking, ambitious, willing to accept responsibility, and integrity).
  • Participate in the development of annual and strategic financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Execute data and compliance requirements for banks, 401k, and annual insurance plan needs.
  • Assist in the preparation and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare insightful financial analysis and models for research & development, growth, and ad hoc projects to assist in timely business decisions.
  • Help facilitate improved data integrity to provide for improved reporting and analysis.
  • Support various lines of business with functional reporting and analysis needs. This may include the creation of dashboards & reports to track company performance & progress.
  • Lead process improvement projects and initiatives to create standardized processes, templates, and tools to simplify and support corporate consolidation and reporting workflows.
  • Share analysis findings with leadership through formal presentations, written insights, and verbal interactions.

Technical & Behavioral Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, sort and accurately report large volumes of data in a timely manner with concise and organized results and thoughts.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • 2 plus years of financial analysis and/or accounting experience required.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
Work Environment

This role operates in an office environment in Toledo, OH and is sedentary in nature. Sitting for long periods of time and occasionally lifting up to 10lbs are often necessary in carrying out job duties. This position requires near visual acuity, and the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech. This role is not eligible to be considered for full‑time/hybrid remote work.
