Financial Manager, Financial Reporting

They're currently seeking a Senior Controller to join their expanding finance team. This role requires full general ledger experience and government contracting exposure. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, service‑oriented, and aligned with our collaborative, mission‑driven culture.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the accounting team.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to executive leadership.
- Establish operational discipline and financial process rigor.
- Government Contracting & Compliance
- Oversee financial aspects of contract administration.
- Manage task order budgets, subcontractor oversight, and contract modifications.
- Support GSA schedule modifications and compliance documentation.
- Ensure adherence to FAR, cost principles, and Gov Con accounting standards.
- Serve as financial liaison between legal, operations, and accounting.
- Operational Engagement
- Remain actively involved in complex journal entries and financial analysis.
- Provide technical oversight on cost point accounting.
- Support audit preparation and external auditor coordination.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
- Deep experience in government contracting.
- Expertise in contract administration, task order budgeting, subcontract management, and GSA processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- PTO beginning Day One.

Hybrid schedule:
