Job Description:
We are a growing mortgage company seeking experienced Mortgage Loan Officers licensed in California. This role is ideal for self-driven originators who want flexibility, strong operational support, and competitive compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Originate conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo loans
- Develop and maintain referral partner relationships
- Guide borrowers through the full mortgage process
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines
- Maintain accurate loan documentation
- Active California NMLS license
- 1+ years of loan origination experience preferred
- Strong sales and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Position Requirements
High School,
1+ Years
work experience Qualifications (Mortgage Loan Officer – California)
- Active NMLS Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license, registered through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS)
- Minimum 1 year of residential mortgage loan origination experience preferred (purchase and/or refinance)
- Working knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo loan products
- Strong understanding of federal and state mortgage regulations, including TRID, RESPA, and fair lending standards
- Proven ability to self-source business through referral partners, past clients, and personal networks
- Experience using loan origination systems (LOS), CRM tools, and digital document platforms
- Excellent communication, follow-up, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment
- Existing realtor or referral network within California
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, or other languages a plus)
- Experience with self-employed borrowers and complex income scenarios
- Clean compliance history with no recent regulatory or disciplinary actions
