Role OverviewInitio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Investment Risk & Diligence Analysts.
This is not a traditional employment role. Analysts operate as independent contractors and are activated through our certification and verification process.
Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform
Support investors, fund managers, and sponsors on pre-investment risk and diligence analysis
Identify financial, operational, and market risks prior to capital deployment
Stress-test assumptions, downside scenarios, and investment theses
Build a verified deal track record and Analyst Rating Score
Rating Score: 90–100
Pay: $150–200/hour
Typical Background:
Former private equity, credit, investment banking, transaction advisory, risk consulting, or senior strategy professionals with 5+ years of investment risk or diligence experience.
Rating Score: 80–89
Pay: $100–150/hour
Typical Background:
Finance professionals with 3–5 years of experience in investment analysis, diligence execution, or downside risk assessment.
Rating Score: 60–79
Pay: $50–100/hour
Typical Background:
Entry to mid-level analysts with strong analytical skills and exposure to financial, commercial, or operational diligence.
Depending on certification approvals, Investment Risk & Diligence Analysts may be engaged for:
- Identification of key investment risks and downside exposures
- Sensitivity, scenario, and stress testing
- Assumption validation and downside case modeling
- Risk matrices and mitigation framework development
- Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis
- Revenue durability and margin sustainability review
- Cash flow and working capital risk assessment
- Historical performance validation
- Market and competitive risk analysis
- Customer, supplier, and concentration risk review
- Operational scalability and execution risk assessment
- KPI benchmarking and variance analysis
- Risk-focused diligence sections for investment memos
- Red flag summaries and diligence findings reports
- Support for IC presentations and decision materials
- Analysts may only perform work in categories they are approved for. Approvals are earned through assessment performance and demonstrated analytical rigor—not tenure.
- Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training
- Receive category-specific approvals (Risk Analysis, Due Diligence, Financial Review)
- Get verified on the platform
- Begin earning immediately through hourly projects and live deal engagements
- No cold applying. No unpaid “experience.” Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors and deal sponsors.
- To qualify, you must meet at least one of the following:
- Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
- Complete Initio Sphere Financial or Risk & Diligence Training
- Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)
Each Investment Risk & Diligence Analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:
- Visibility to investors and capital allocators
- Approved risk and diligence work categories
- Recommended hourly rates
- Eligibility for higher-impact, higher-complexity transactions
