Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Overview

Randstad is seeking an accomplished Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations across five legal entities. This strategic leadership role requires strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP, and the ability to drive accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in a multi-entity environment. The ideal candidate will be a CPA (strongly preferred) with proven experience managing teams and delivering results.

Base Salary: $150,000 - $160,000

Performance Bonus: 15% annual target

• Oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions for five entities, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Direct and mentor a team of five, including an Accounting Manager, two Accountants, and two Accounting Clerks, fostering professional development and a collaborative culture.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, delivering timely and accurate consolidated financial statements.
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
• Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support strategic business decisions.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Oversee external audits, tax filings, and liaise with auditors and tax advisors as needed.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability of accounting operations.
• Provide insightful financial analysis, variance reporting, and recommendations to support business growth.

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity accounting.
• Proven success in managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and present financial information to executives.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems; proficiency in Excel required.
