Job Description :
Florida Housing Finance Corporation is recruiting for a Multifamily Bonds Underwriting & Closing Manager to join our Multifamily Bonds Credit Underwriting and Loan Closing Team. The preferred candidate is a self-starter with experience and/or education in credit underwriting, finance, accounting or other real estate-related fields. This position is responsible for reviewing third party credit underwriting reports and loan closing documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance with Florida Housing’s regulations, rules and policies. This position will assist in identifying potential issues that arise during underwriting and will work to find a solution that meets all program requirements. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring credit underwriting and loan commitment contingencies, scoring applications requesting Florida Housing funding, and providing professional assistance and support.
Position Requirements :
The successful applicant will have:
- A solid understanding of development finance.
- Experience in credit underwriting, accounting, finance, commercial real estate lending, compliance with financial regulations and/or other real estate related field highly desired.
- Experience following statutes, rules and/or federal guidelines.
- Experience in a role(s) with increasing levels of responsibility in a professional office setting.
- Extensive knowledge of, and experience using, Microsoft Office Suite and online collaboration and database tools.
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and can prioritize tasks while working in a busy, fast-paced office environment.
Additional preferred job-related qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate or other related field is preferred (work experience may be substituted).
- Strong collaboration skills working with multiple teams effectively toward a common goal.
- Ability to comprehend and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to articulate a strategy, an idea or thought in a clear and appropriate manner, both verbally and in writing.
This is an in-person position in the Tallahassee office of Florida Housing Finance Corporation. We do not offer remote work options.

Salary and Benefits :
Anticipated hiring salary is $64,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Florida Housing provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, dental, vision, short and long-term disability insurance, and other miscellaneous programs. Paid vacation, sick and personal leave; 11 paid holidays; and 401/457 retirement accounts.
