Launch Industries LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper and Small Business Financial Consultant to join the team. This role is essential in managing the financial health of clients, which include small businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations. The position focuses on both technical bookkeeping expertise and client education to support Launch Industries' mission of creating sustainable and joyful workplaces.
The right candidate will have extensive experience managing bookkeeping for multiple clients at a time and have used Quick Books online extensively and recently.
- Lack of relevant bookkeeping experience for multi-client agency (minimum 5 years required).
- Inability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and accessibly.
- Lack of a client-focused approach or unwillingness to educate clients.
- Inadequate attention to detail or accuracy in managing financial records.
- Insufficient knowledge of Quick Books Online.
Full-Cycle Bookkeeping
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, cash flow, payroll processing, and month-end closings for multiple clients at a time.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze detailed financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
Client Education
- Provide ongoing education and support to clients, helping them understand financial reports and best practices for financial management.
Compliance
- Ensure financial records comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying updated on legislation and advising management.
Tax Preparation
- Collaborate with tax preparers to assist clients with tax planning and preparation.
Software Proficiency
- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books Online, Xero, or other platforms to maintain accurate records.
Financial Modeling
- Assist clients with pro formas, profit and loss (P&L) statements, cash flow forecasting, and similar financial projections.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and offering personalized advice.
Knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis.
- Familiarity with finance law and regulatory standards, including GAAP.
Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or finance management in a client services environment
- Prior experience working with small or medium-sized businesses, nonprofits, or membership-based organizations
- Exemplary history of financial project management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field
- Certifications such as Quick Books Certified Pro Advisor (Online and Advanced Online), Gusto Advisor, or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) are highly valued
Strong Proficiencies
- Proficient in Quick Books Online (QBO).
- Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets for financial management and modeling.

- This position starts at a rate of $35 per hour for bookkeeping work.
- If you are an Enrolled Agent or Accredited Tax Preparer with small business tax return experience, commissions are available per return filed.
