Job OverviewAs a financial advisor with Edward Jones, you'll develop and grow your own practice, supported by branch associates, a home‑office team and other regional financial advisors. You’ll benefit from over 100 years of history and from having one branch office administrator entirely focused on building client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Build relationships to create new clients via face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies (e.g., residential, business, networking, introductions, referrals, social media, speaking engagements).
- Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies.
- Oversee branch processes, roles and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and ethical guidelines.
- Engage the branch team to create, monitor and adjust the branch business plan to increase effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
- Create a highly engaging environment of mutual trust, respect, feedback and accountability.
- Complete ongoing training offered by the firm and regulatory authorities and maintain registrations and licenses in good standing.
- Utilize a firm‑provided branch office in the community.
- Receive client support to help lighten the load so you can focus on clients.
- Work independently within a support network that extends from your client support team office to your region to the home office.
- Series 7 and Series 66 required.
- Experience in financial services working with clients, in‑depth knowledge of investment products and services with a track record of success.
- State insurance licenses preferred.
- Preferred additional professional designations such as CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ or CRPC™ or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™.
- Strong communication skills and self‑starter.
- Love of learning and challenges, determination to succeed.
- Skilled in long‑term relationship building.
- Adaptable to new information and seeking the right solutions for clients.
- Comfortable with critical thinking.
- Passion for new opportunities.
No ceiling to earning potential; compensation tied to effort and includes profitability bonuses, profit sharing and incentive travel.
