Role Summary
This position will be responsible for consolidating the Evernorth capital and depreciation and amortization (D&A) forecast. In addition, it will perform regular analysis of the depreciation and amortization forecast and associated performance to draw conclusions on variances and assist with driving overall process improvements. The position requires regular communication and collaboration with cross‑functional areas to better understand the capital and depreciation forecast and related performance.
The ability to communicate requests, results and issues effectively with team members, management, and cross‑functional areas is essential.
- Collaboration and strategize with cross‑functional areas of Cigna including IT Finance, Enterprise Finance, Technology and Corporate Real Estate to consolidate and build the depreciation and amortization forecast
- Improve monthly capital and D&A tracking process, review actuals to compare performance to quarterly forecast, and understand variances
- Review monthly capital and D&A actuals to compare performance to quarterly forecast and understand variances
- Perform analysis to understand drivers of variances and incorporate findings into future quarterly forecasts
- Lead cross functional calls to discuss capital and D&A forecast
- Assist with driving process improvements and ensure optimization of processes for forecasting and analysis and document processes
- Work on special projects and presentations as needed for Evernorth Finance Consolidation team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of extensive experience in Healthcare, Financial Analysis, Accounting or related area preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel;
Hyperion Essbase, Alteryx, Exo Insight a plus - Knowledge of PBM or Healthcare industry preferred
- Demonstrated modeling, trending and forecasting skills preferred
- Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in complex matrix organizations and agile teams
- Ability to blend creativity, relentless problem‑solving and business acumen to drive innovation through analytics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to work with various matrix partners
