The Role at a GlanceAs an Actuary on the Life Financial Strategy team, you will lead strategic initiatives that support the enterprise’s foundational capital goals. This role involves deep collaboration across Valuation, M&A, Investments, Reinsurance, and other key areas to assess and optimize the Life in-force block. You will provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership, helping shape the financial trajectory of the Life business.
Whatyou'll be doing Strategic Analysis & Execution
- Assess the value and capitalization of the Life in-force block.
- Evaluate reinsurance opportunities and enhance analytical tools.
- Partner with Modeling, Valuation, FP&A, and other teams to ensure model accuracy.
- Build strong relationships across departments to drive initiatives forward.
- Present findings to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert during project implementation.
- Identify new strategic opportunities aligned with enterprise goals.
Must have:
- 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) (Minimum Required)
- 7+ years of actuarial experience with actuarial credentials (FSA or ASA with additional years of experience)
- Experience in reviewing and assessing the appropriateness of complex models
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Substantial life product (UL/VUL/IUL/Term) knowledge and general insurance business knowledge
- Strong understanding of regulatory and accounting frameworks (Stat/GAAP/Tax/RBC)
- Proven ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
Nice to have:
- Experience working with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)
- Experience in actuarial modeling and/or valuation experience in MG-ALFA
- Experience in financial reinsurance transactions
- Experience in M&A
- Experience with VBA, Python, or other programming languages preferred

The pay range for this position is $96,900 - $176,200 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
