Position: Senior Controller (Remote)

Remote Controller - REMOTE. In this role, you will take charge of financial reporting for a range of nonprofit clients, implementing best practices in accounting. You will lead a team, managing timely and accurate delivery of financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and fostering a collaborative environment. This position offers a significant opportunity to influence the financial health of various organizations while working in a fully remote setting, with occasional in-person meeting requirements.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain best practice accounting principles for nonprofit clients.
  • Supervise the Outsourced Accounting team and manage workload allocation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide financial consulting services tailored to each client.
  • Manage client relationships, providing insights and financial management advice.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Train and develop team members for effective service delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting, preferably with nonprofit organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in financial data management and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with managing and developing staff.
