POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly motivated undergraduate or graduate student to work with IFAC full-time, for 8 weeks from June 1, 2026, to July 24, 2026. The Intern will work specifically with our Finance team. Our Finance team provides management support and coordination for IFAC's budgeting and financial activities.

As an intern, you will gain valuable experience working in an international environment and learning from colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities may include:

• Preparing monthly bank statement reconciliations and ensuring all related activity is properly recorded in the general ledger.
• Analyzing and validating large financial datasets to identify variances, trends, and anomalies, supporting data-driven insights and decision-making.
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
• Helping prepare materials for internal and external audits.
• Learning to use finance-related software tools, such as Business Central and Limelight.
• Assisting with IFAC's sustainability initiatives, including sustainability reporting.
• Supporting the finance team in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Developing and maintaining financial analyses, dashboards, and reporting outputs to support month-end close, forecasting, and management review.
• Supporting IFAC staff on projects and other initiatives to support the department you are assigned to and the global accountancy profession.

Summer interns will work under the supervision of management but are expected to work independently and undertake other tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Obtaining a Bachelor's or Master's degree and graduating in 2027 or 2028.
• Knowledge of Accounting and/or Finance preferred.
• Excellent research and analysis skills.
• Self-starter with an agile mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity and communicating progress.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage projects and work independently.
• Flexible, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom), as well as social media platforms (e.g., Linked In).
• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, willing to take on projects and ask questions as needed.

This will be a hybrid position with both in-office and at-home work. This is a paid position with an hourly rate of $25-$30 (Primary Location - NYC).
