Keystone Equities is hiring a Senior Loan Originator to drive growth on our commercial real estate bridge and construction lending platform. This is a front-line production role for an experienced originator who can independently source, structure, and close middle-market bridge and construction loans ranging from $25 million to $400 million.
Over the last 24 months, Keystone Equities has transacted on over $600 million of credit positions. We are scaling our originations capacity and seeking an individual who can contribute $300 million or more in annual origination volume, with a realistic pipeline to close their first transaction within six months of joining.
Non-Negotiable Prerequisites (Read Carefully)To be considered for this role, you must meet all of the requirements below. Candidates who do not will not advance in the process.
Bridge or construction lending origination experience is mandatory.You must have direct experience as a loan originator at a commercial real estate bridge or construction lending platform. Traditional bank lending, CMBS, agency, or life company experience, regardless of seniority, does not qualify on its own.
A recent, verifiable origination track record is mandatory.You must have a demonstrated track record of deals personally originated within the last 12 months, and you must be prepared to walk through specific transactions during the interview process, including deal type, loan size, asset class, market, structure, timing, and your specific role in originating the deal. We expect candidates to have closed meaningful volume in the middle-market space ($25MM–$400MM loan sizes).
Youmust be based in New York City.
This is an in-office position at our New York headquarters with occasional remote working days.
What You Will Do- Originate $300MM+ in annual bridge and construction loan volume through direct borrower outreach and established broker relationships
- Source and screen middle-market opportunities ($25MM–$400MM) quickly and accurately, advancing qualified transactions into underwriting
- Lead transactions end-to-end from initial sourcing through term sheet, diligence, documentation, and closing
- Structure loans creatively to meet borrower needs while staying within the firm’s risk parameters
- Coordinate internal underwriting and execution resources while driving deal momentum and accountability across all parties
- Manage third-party diligence workflow (legal, valuation, engineering, title, insurance, construction consultants) with internal support
- Cultivate and expand relationships with brokers, borrowers, developers, and capital partners to build a durable, repeatable pipeline
- Support back‑leverage conversations and capital partner coordination as needed
- 5+ years of experience originating commercial real estate bridge or construction loans, not just executing, underwriting, or assisting on them
- Established, active broker and borrower network that can generate actionable middle‑market deal flow from day one
- Deep knowledge of bridge and construction lending structures, timelines, risk frameworks, and market pricing
- Comfort operating across asset classes including multifamily, mixed‑use, industrial, office, hospitality, and ground‑up construction
- Ability to operate with urgency and precision in a fast‑moving environment, keeping transactions on track from term sheet through closing
- Strong deal judgment, sharp credit instincts, clear communication, and disciplined follow‑through
- Entrepreneurial mindset. You thrive when given autonomy and are motivated by building something, not maintaining it
