Senior Accounting Analyst

Ledgent Accounting & Finance is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join one of our financial services client's accounting team located in El Segundo, CA. The position offers a balance of both onsite collaboration three days per week and remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring alignment with our client's mission-driven organization. This is a contract to hire position.

The Senior Accounting Analyst will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role assists with daily accounting operations, month-end close, and prepares reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies such as the NCUA.

• Preparing financial reports, analyzing data, reconciliations, and budgeting/forecasting.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and create close related items such as variance analysis, journal entries, and board report package

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements (NCUA standards).
• Proficiency with accounting and budgeting software; experience with process improvement tools.
• Symitar or Avid Xchange, a plus!
• Must be a self-starter, analytical thinker, and a team player.
