The Capital Markets Associate supports the Director of Capital Markets in the execution of funding strategies, liquidity management, and investor reporting. This role contributes to financial modeling, market research, and transaction preparation for debt, equity, and potential securitization activities. The Associate plays a key role in analyzing funding opportunities, monitoring market trends, and supporting internal and external reporting for capital providers and senior leadership.
Asa Capital Markets Associate, You Will
- Support the execution of capital markets transactions including debt issuance, equity activities, and public or private securitization efforts.
- Prepare investor reporting packages, compliance documentation, and respond to investor information requests.
- Conduct market and rate analysis to help evaluate funding opportunities and support liquidity strategy.
- Build and maintain financial models used for scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and portfolio performance tracking.
- Monitor interest rates, macroeconomic trends, and competitor activity to inform capital markets strategy.
- Work closely with Treasury, FP and A, and Accounting to support cash forecasting, liquidity analysis, and internal reporting.
- Prepare materials and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- MBA, Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Applied Math, or a related analytical field, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 3 years of relevant full-time experience
- 2 to 3 years of experience in capital markets, structured finance, investment banking, treasury, corporate finance, or a related function
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel
- Experience building and maintaining financial models for funding decisions, portfolio analysis, or transaction evaluation
- Understanding of debt instruments, capital structures, and funding mechanisms
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Experience with additional financial systems or modeling tools is a plus
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and be self-motivated
- Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment
