The CalPERS Financial Office is seeking a Financial Accountant II (FA II) Supervisor to manage and direct the Travel Unit within the Financial Reporting and Accounting Services Division. Under the general supervision of the Financial Accountant III Supervisor, the FA II serves as the Travel Supervisor, providing leadership and day-to-day oversight for the unit’s accounting operations. The FA II Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff who perform critical accounting functions, including travel advances, salary advances, payroll, relocation reimbursements, and other employee‑related payments for CalPERS’ pension fund.
The FA II Supervisor ensures compliance with governmental accounting standards and CalPERS policies by planning, organizing, and controlling the work of the Travel Unit. The incumbent oversees complex reconciliations, account analysis, and financial reporting, develops and implements efficient processes, and maintains accurate records.
Telework InformationThis position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three or more days onsite per week.
