Trader, Financial Consultant

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Trader to join a leading energy trading firm specialising in Gulf markets. This role is being advertised on behalf of a client actively expanding their Gulf desk, which manages significant transport, storage, and LNG contracts.

• Manage and optimise a natural gas trading portfolio focused on Gulf markets, including supply/demand analysis, pipeline and LNG flows, and pricing hubs.
• Develop and execute strategies to capitalise on profitable trading opportunities, optimise storage, and enhance margins.
• Collaborate with risk, operations, and commercial teams to ensure profitable and compliant trading activities.
• Monitor market conditions, pivot strategies as needed, and contribute to the development of regional supply and demand models.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in natural gas trading, scheduling, or origination.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Gulf pipeline and storage infrastructure, with experience trading physical and financial instruments.
• Familiarity with regional market dynamics, pipeline constraints, and storage optimisation.

Houston, with a flexible remote working arrangement (4 days in-office, 1 day remote).
