- Maintain and expand an inventory of taxes and fees for administrative cost recovery
- Perform internal audits to identify costs related to tax and fee administration
- Develop cost recovery rates and execute complex journal entries in the CORE financial system
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Federal, State, and private grants
- Prepare high-level financial reports, including contributions to the State’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
- Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, business management, or finance
- A combination of related education (27 semester hours in accounting or auditing) and/or relevant experience equal to eight (8) years
- Current, valid CPA licensure by the Colorado Board of Accountancy counts for six (6) years of experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to conduct internal audits and develop cost recovery rates
- Experience with fiscal analysis and policy/program analysis for a governmental agency
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and governmental accounting standards (GASB)
- Proficiency in CORE or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Background in managing interagency transfers and analyzing funding mechanisms
- Ability to monitor legislative bills for cost recovery opportunities
