Salary Range: $32,827 USD to $49,159 USD

This position is responsible for collection services on delinquent and bankrupt accounts with the goal of preventing charge offs and Non-Accruals, and reducing the Bank’s delinquency rates within the consumer lending portfolios.
Position Accountabilities- Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts and payments; properly document all collection activity.
- Receive and service inbound collection calls.
- Review loan payment history.
- Utilize established programs to assist Bank customers in bringing their accounts current.
- Maintain confidentiality of the Bank’s customers’ personal and financial information.
- Contact credit bureaus for customer reports, check customer references, update addresses, and gather additional information as necessary.
- Work with other Special Assets teams and departments as needed to ensure payments are properly credited or applied to customer accounts. Order liquidations, foreclosures, and repossessions when necessary.
- Conducts skip-tracing research. Prepare DMV applications for repossession & duplicate titles.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management that enhance collection activity.
- Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with Atlantic Union Bank’s Policy and Procedures.
This position reports to the Supervisor – Collections.
Position QualificationsEducation & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Two or more years of collections experience.
Knowledge &
Skills:
- High degree of professionalism.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Flexible, able to adapt to change.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of financial institution’s policies and procedures.
- Able to work independently.
Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
