Remote Mortgage Underwriting Specialist

In this role, you’ll report to the Team Lead of Underwriting. With 2-3 years of experience in mortgage underwriting, you’ll approve or decline applications within authorized limits while adhering to quality standards. Your problem-solving abilities will help you navigate documentation and establish solid relationships with brokers for ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approve or decline mortgage applications efficiently

• Review loan documents for underwriting standards

• Conduct Quality Assurance reviews before funding

• Identify and investigate suspicious document scenarios

• Provide insights on high-risk applications

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in mortgage underwriting

• Post-secondary education in finance or relevant fields

• Proficiency with MS Office and related software

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
