About This RoleAnnaly is seeking a Non-QM Mortgage Scenario Desk Underwriter (Associate/VP) with significant Non-QM experience to join the Non-Delegated mortgage channel and residential Credit team in Dallas, TX or Remote. This candidate will focus on Non-QM scenario desk efforts to engage with mortgage sellers on complex Non-QM questions, pre‑flight exception reviews, guideline clarification as well as support underwriters with seller commutation.
Responsibilities- Support scenario desk with guideline questions or structuring by reviewing and analyzing borrower profiles, credit reports, title reports, income documentation and assets, appraisals, and complex income analysis to ensure it meets guidelines.
- Support contract underwriters with guideline interpretation and seller communication as it relates to conditions and acceptable documentation.
- Provide regular performance updates to the Director of Operations, including seller performance metrics, ongoing credit training support, and issue escalations.
- Build strong relationships with sellers and provide excellent customer service and communication.
- 4+ years of relevant credit experience in Non‑QM.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and prioritize accordingly.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with Senior Management regarding the progress and results of projects and initiatives.
- Ability to underwrite Non‑QM and Non‑Agency loan products, including but not limited to Bank Statement Income Analysis, Asset Depletion, P&L, DSCR, Foreign National and Self‑Employment.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints.
- Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. - Must be willing to work additional hours as needed to complete deadline driven projects.
- Preference given to candidates able to work in Dallas, TX (on‑site three (3) days).
- Remote work eligibility will be evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis.
